The untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput fuelled the debate which is often a talking point in the Bollywood industry. The whole entertainment industry is picking sides in the debate of Insiders vs Outsiders.

Most of the famous actors have also said that nepotism exists in the Bollywood industry.

While this is a known fact, there are many actors like Sushant Singh Rajput who have gone through a fair share of struggle to become a star in the Bollywood industry.

Unfortunately, there are many actors as well who decided to leave the industry after not getting the desired work from the industry.

Here, we have created a list of Bollywood actors who didn’t get many roles despite giving hit films.

Bhumika Chawla

Bhumika Chawla’s first film Tere Naam was Superhit in which she featured opposite Salman Khan. Her performance was well-received by the audience.

After this, she featured in the film Run with Abhishek Bachchan in 2004. However, the Bollywood film industry hadn’t offered her big movies.

In such a situation, she turned to the South Indian film industry. After a long time, she was seen in Sushant Singh Rajput’s MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

In this film, she played the sister of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Ronit Roy

Ronit Roy is a famous TV personality, but his acting career started with Bollywood movies.

His first film Jaan Tere Naam was a blockbuster hit. Nevertheless, Ronit Roy could not get much work in films and he shifted to the emerging TV industry.

Ronit Roy’s acting skills were appreciated in the movie Udaan. Still, Rohit Roy didn’t get much work in the Bollywood Industry.

He has been part of many films doing character roles such as Loveyatri, 2 States, Boss, Machine, Lucknow Central, Shootout at Wadala, Student Of The Year, and many more.

Tanushree Dutta

Tanushree Dutta started the Me Too movement in the Bollywood Industry. Her first film in Bollywood was Superhit and she became a sensation after the release of Aashiq Banaya Aapne in which she was seen opposite Emraan Hashmi.

Despite giving hit films, Tanushree Dutta had to struggle to get big movie projects. Tanushree Dutta, originally from Jharkhand, was seen in movies like Chocolate, Risk, Apartment, Saas Bahu and Sensex, Dhol, and Good Boy Bad Boy.

In 2008, she was shooting for the film Horn Ok Please with Nana Patekar. According to her, Nana Patekar molested her on the set of the movie.

Tanushree Dutta said goodbye to the film industry after that incident.

Gracie Singh

Gracie Singh appeared in blockbuster films like Lagaan and Munna Bhai MBBS.

She has been part of many good films like Gangajal in which she played the role of Anuradha, Armaan in which she played the character of Doctor Neha Mathur and the character of Maya in the movie Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain.

Still, Gracie Singh was never considered a star actress in Bollywood and she disappeared from the industry.

Rahul Roy

Bollywood actor Rahul Roy’s debut film was Aashiqui which became a cult classic.

After this, Rahul Roy was seen in movies like Gumrah, Pyar Ka Saaya, Haste Khelte, Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Aayi, Jaanam, Achanak, Naseeb, and Game.

Despite being such a talented actor, Rahul Roy wasn’t approached by any big directors in the film industry. He left the industry and started some other business.

Prachi Desai

Prachi Desai was considered as a promising actress with her acting skills in movies like Rock On, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and Bol Bachchan.

Her performance in the movies was praised by fans as well as Critics. Nevertheless, it was very difficult for Prachi Desai to stay in Bollywood.

Eventually, this outsider artist had to get away from the Bollywood industry as she was not getting good movie offers. Prachi Desai is the brand ambassador of Goa Tourism.

Anu Agrawal

Anu Aggarwal became a well-known face in the film industry when her blockbuster film Aashiqui which became a cult classic in Bollywood.

It was Mahesh Bhatt’s film, released in 1990. After her accident, it was not easy for her to make a place in the Bollywood industry as a star actress.

Vivek Mushran

Saudagar was the first film of Vivek Mushran’s acting career. The film was released in 1991.

Vivek’s first film was a super hit. Vivek then did films like Seventh Akash, Ram Jaane, and many more.

However, he could not last long in the film industry. Gradually, Vivek Mushran had to move away from the film industry.
