These 8 Movies Of Akshay Kumar Were Never Released.

Akshay also known as Khiladi Kumar is one of the biggest names in Bollywood. His debut movie was Saughandh which released in the year 1991.

Many actors have openly criticized the working standards of Bollywood during the 90s and 00s.

There was no schedule for movie making, even the title of the movie was undecided until the movie hit theatres. This is the reason that many unfinished movies got shelved or remain unreleased.

Making films is not easy as it takes lots of effort and dedication but sometimes due to various circumstances, some films don’t make it to the cinema hall.

There was a time when it was believed that Akshay Kumar does not have any incomplete films.

This belief is false as we found a list of films in which Akshay played the lead role that never released.

The announcement of the film was made by Rajkumar Santoshi himself.

The film was supposed to be a multi starrer with some big Bollywood names that include Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgn, Ritesh Deshmukh, Urmila Matondkar, and Mahima Chowdhry.

But there was no progress after the film announcement. Later, Rajkumar left the project saying the film was controversial.

It might be the right decision as the Indian audience is very sensitive in such cases.

There was a huge protest for the movie Padmaavat due to which the movie name was changed from Padmavati to Padmavat.

Even the Mental Hai Kya has changed to Judgemental hai Kya because it was offensive to metals.

This film was signed by Akshay Kumar in 1993. He was supposed to act opposite to Divya Bharti in the film but unfortunately, before the completion of the film, Divya passed away leaving the film shelved forever.

Divya Bharti rose to fame within a year and she has signed many movies. Parinaam was one of them that never saw the light of theatre.

Chand Bhai

This film was supposed to be released in 2012 and was based on a boy who wanted to become a gangster.

Nikhil Advani was supposed to direct the film and Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan were chosen to play the lead roles.

This project never really took shape after its announcement.

Akshay was supposed to be in this film alongside Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Amresh Puri, and Bindu.

The film was about a man who finds out that he is an illegitimate child and his mother was ill-treated by his father, which was the typical story for 90s movies.

Unfortunately, the film was shelved for reasons that are not clear yet.

Purab Ki Laila Paschim Ka Chaila

This was a 1997 film starring Akshay Kumar, Namrita Shirodkar, and Sunil Shetty.

Sadly, the film’s making was postponed as the film’s actress Namrita got married and left the film industry.

It was only 12 years later that the film was completed owing to the efforts of Akshay Kumar. However, it never saw the lights of the theatre.

If it was completed then we got to see another movie with the duo of Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty.

This film was a remake of Dev Anand’s Guide. The film was directed by Ritupurno Ghosh and starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles.

It’s not clear why the film was shelved but some sources say that it was because Dev Anand refused to give permission to film producers.

Guide was one of the iconic movies in Bollywood history and it would be amazing to see Akshay Kumar recreating the magic of Dev Anand again by playing the character of Raju Guide. Afterall, Akshay Kumar is famous with the name of Raju.

This film was supposed to be released in 2012 and was a sequel to the film Blue. Ashman starred the original cast of Blue i.e Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, and Zayed Khan.

It also had some new additions like John Abraham, Sonal Chauhan, and Neha Oberoi.

For some reason, the film was never shot after its first announcement. It would be a good call if makers made the movie Aasman.

Blue got mixed reviews from the audience as well as critics.

Sitaron Ke Aage

This project had an impressive star cast but for some reason got shelved.

This film was directed by Poltoo Sen and starred Akshay Kumar, Manisha Koirala, Laxmikant Berde, Farheen, Paresh Rawal, and Aruna Iranai.
