TV serials have an enormous impact on our society which impacts both the mind and thought process of an individual. We are always inspired by our favorite TV shows and their characters. It’s astonishing how we get emotionally attached to these fictional charterers in a short period. Its solely in the hands of an individual to make or break the image. However, there are many TV stars who either spoiled their careers or were not able to bag fame for a long time. Let’s have a look:

Aman Verma

The TV actor was a huge rage in the early 2000s and was one of the most popular faces on Television. He was caught red-handed in a sting operation conducted by a news channel asking for sexual favors and has since then appeared on screen very few times.

Siddharth Shukla

Siddharth Shukla is an Indian television actor and model from Mumbai. He made his acting debut in the 2008 show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. He is known for his roles in Love U Zindagi, Balika Vadhu and Dil Se Dil Tak. He participated in the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss 13. In 2014, Shukla made his film debut in a supporting role in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The actor is said to have ruined his career as he misbehaved with many of his co-stars from the show. He is even seen arguing frequently in the Bigg boss 13.

Ragini Khanna

Ragini Khanna is an Indian film and television actress. She has also hosted various reality shows, such as India’s Best Dramebaaz (2013) and Gangs of Haseepur (2014). She is best known for her roles as Bharti in Bhaskar Bharti and as Suhana Kishore Bajpai-Kashyap in Sasural Genda Phool. She was a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in its fourth season in 2010. Even after working in a blockbuster TV serial Sasural Genda Phool as the lead protagonist, the actress was not able to bag many serials!

She was also engaged in a series of controversies such as during a shoot of Star Ya Rockstar, the actress reacted defensively when fellow contestants expressed their preference for the performance of another contestant, Chhavi Mittal. Similarly, During Life OK’s culinary show Welcome, Khanna and her co-contestant Nigaar Khan were seen arguing during the show. Khanna vented her anger against the channel through her Twitter account, where she claimed that in an episode of the show, Khanna’s mother’s name was mispronounced in a demeaning fashion.

Shilpa Shinde

Shilpa Shinde is a well-known actress in the TV industry. Shilpa played the protagonist of Angoori Bhabhi, in the serial Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain and gained immense popularity within no time. However, seeing her growing popularity, the actress demanded a hike in her fees to which the makers did not agree and she eventually left the show and destroyed her career. The actress was then seen in the serial Bigg Boss where she was a declared a winner.

Vahbbiz Dorabjee

Vahbbiz Dorabjee is an Indian model and television actress who made her television debut with the television serial Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, playing the role of Panchi Dobriyal, from 18 October 2010 to 15 December 2011. In 2013 she played the role of Alak in the television series Saraswatichandra. She has won an award for the best supporting role in 2011 for Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. She was part of the television series Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, where she played the role of Maggie Kant. Even after being starred in a popular series like Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, the actress was not seen in many series thereof.

Giaa Manek 

Giaa Manek is an Indian television actress. Before venturing into the television industry, she played a minor role in the 2010 Hindi comedy film Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke. Popular television shows to her credit are SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju and Star Plus’s Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. In 2012, she had participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5. The actress left the famous TV soap opera Saath Nibhana Saathiya for the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5.

Anshuman Malhotra

Anshuman Malhotra is a popular TV actor who appeared as a contestant on the MTV show Splitsvilla. After this, he worked in many TV shows and was also seen in the film Haider in 2014. He was given the role of Arjun Shastri in the &TV show, Nagarjuna- Ek Yodha. However, the makers were satisfied with his performance in the show.

Jay Soni

Jay Soni is an Indian actor and presenter. He began his career with a small role in the 2003 film Dil Maange More. Later he played in Star Plus TV show Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. He has appeared in television shows, Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, Sasural Genda Phool, and Sanskaar – Dharohar Apno Ki. Soni has hosted an Indian singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2011. He participated in Reality Show ‘Nach Baliye 7’ hosted on Star Plus with his wife. Even after being a part of so many famous TV soap operas, he failed to become a prominent actor.

Pratyusha Banerjee

Late Pratyusha Banerjee was an Indian television actress. She had appeared in numerous television and reality shows. Banerjee first gained recognition in 2010 in the television show Balika Vadhu. This was her first leading role in the television series where she earned her household name “Anandi”. She had participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 7 (2013). She also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 5). However, she left the dance show, stating that she was not comfortable during the dance rehearsals. Even after being a part of popular shows and becoming a household name, the actress was said to have failed in career and was found hanging in her Mumbai apartment.
